Transition Sports

We had a great start to the day: the bus had comfortable leather seats and we were able to relax and watch a DVD (although Mrs Leitch did miss the usual singing…)

The aim of the day was to get know some of the other new first years and take part in some fun sports activities. All pupils played badminton, football, tag rugby and dodgeball, working with a number of different coaches, active schools staff and Mr Berry, a PE teacher from Stromness Academy.

The coaches ran the activities and also encouraged some conversation between the pupils from different schools.

We all met some new people and did our best in the activities that were organised for us!
