Stromness Primary School celebrated World Book Day today. We began the day by going down to the hall to see a colourful range of book characters, as large as life.
Characters present in P7 today were (from left to right) Pippi Longstocking (by Astrid Lindgren), Darrell (Malory Towers by Enid Blyton), Cruella Da Ville (101 Dalmations by Dodie Smith), Edek (The Sliver Sword, by Ian Serallier), Cleopatra (historical books), Helen (First Aid for Faeries, by Lari Don), Mr Tom (Goodnight Mr Tom, by Michelle Magorian) and Sadie (The Mum-Minders, by Jacqueline Wilson)
