At the end of last week we had a pretty small class! We were set a bridge building challenge. Using only paper and scissors, we had to design a bridge wide enough to cross a small river (20cm), high enough to allow a small vessel to pass underneath (10cm) and strong enough to hold a flock of sheep (500g). We worked in groups. to build our bridges.
We then tested the bridges to see if they met the specified crieria...
...and evaluated our work according to these criteria.
Mrs Leitch suspects that some of the marking was a little generous, particularly where people were evaluating their own bridges!
